Objective |
This course covers the complete spectrum of ISO 14001:2004 requirements and associated guidance documents, placing emphasis on principles necessary to manage, conduct and report on environmental management system audits. The course is based on Accelerated Learning Principles and follows the Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) approach to instruction and learning using a team approach. Delegates apply ISO 14001 principles and requirements to structured case studies that are developed by the teams and used throughout the course, culminating in a highly interactive mock-audit based on the process approach to auditing. Learning is hands-on using a range of teaching techniques which promote understanding and application of new knowledge and skills. |

Who Should Attend? |
Individuals who will be responsible for the implementation of an environmental management system, particularly those who will be managing an internal audit program that meets requirements of ISO 14001:2004 and ISO 19011:2002, or who wish to meet the formal education requirements to attain EMS Auditor/Lead Auditor status, should attend this course. Prior to the commencement of this course, all students are expected to have an understanding of the content, application and implementation of ISO 14001:2004. This is accomplished through pre-course study. |
